Our big vision is to establish the Muslim high school that helps empowering our students to become strong and compassionate leaders, dependable and resourceful, knowlageable and aware of their Islamic values.

ABOUT US

Respectful Islamic Academy

Welcome to the New England Islamic Academy! At NEIA, our utmost priority is to ensure a bright future for our children. As dedicated parents ourselves, we understand the significance of providing them with the best possible education in a nurturing and secure environment.

Our vision is to establish an Islamic high school that serves as a shield against fitna while empowering our students to become strong, compassionate leaders, guided by Islamic principles.

Located at the Islamic Center of Greater Haverhill, our physical classroom setting offers a warm and inclusive atmosphere where students can interact with their peers and teachers in person.

Our plan is to expand on this vision with a fully in-house and in person Muslim High School which is desperately needed in this region.

Our vision was to establish a Muslim High School that helps empowering our students by acquiring both educational grades and islamic values.

New England Islamic Academy (NEIA) Survey

al-salām ʿalaykum wa-raḥmat Allāh wa-barakātuhu, Dear parents,

The New England Islamic Academy (NEIA) will be moving to Waltham, MA, in shāʾa Allāh, and we need your opinion about the educational model for this coming 2024-2025 academic year. We are exploring three options for the type of instruction. In each option, we seek to provide an Islamic environment and safe learning space that includes in-person instruction in the Liberal Arts, Arabic, and Islamic Sciences, as well as extra-curricular service learning, socializing, and personal development. All three options assume in-person instruction and the physical presence of students and teachers/tutors. This survey will help us determine the current need of Muslim students. The NEIA may be able to offer more than one option of the three options, and the student body may consist of students from all three models.

Please fill out the survey below and choose one or more of the three options in the “Response” field. You may provide comments and questions in the “Comments” field below it.

The three options are: (1) Full-time Islamic school, (2) In-person program for online high school students, or (3) Collaborative learning center for home-school students.

(1) Full-time Islamic school

Option (1) would offer a complete in-person Islamic school program with both teachers and students attending classes in-person at the instructional space. Students would benefit from a well-developed curriculum that includes all the standard high school subjects but with the addition of in-person instruction in the Liberal Arts, Arabic, and Islamic sciences, along with extra-curricular service learning and an environment that fosters good character, provides instruction for personal development, and includes social time for students to interact and learn from each other.

* In-person instruction

* All subjects, standard academic requirements, as well as Liberal Arts, Arabic, Islamic Sciences, and extra-curricular programs.

(2) In-person program for online high school students

Option (2) would offer a model where students are enrolled in an online high school program but attend in-person at the instructional space where a teacher and/or administrator would be present to assist students with their course material and assignments. Students would benefit from the same Islamic environment as they would in Option (1) and would also enroll in in-person Liberal Arts, Arabic, and Islamic sciences courses.

* Online high school enrollment (online public school or online private Islamic high school)

* In-person collaborative learning with teachers, tutors, and students

* In-person Liberal Arts, Arabic, Islamic Studies courses

* In-person extracurricular programs

(3) Collaborative learning center for home-school students

Option (3) would offer a collaborative learning center for home-school students. They would attend in-person at the instructional space for study groups, service learning, socializing, and for help with their course material and assignments. They will also have the option to attend classes in the Liberal Arts, Arabic, and Islamic sciences just as in Option (2). Tutors and a teacher and/or administrator would be present to assist students with their course material and assignments.

* Students are registered in their home towns as home school students whose parents are responsible for reporting and tracking their progress to a school system.

* In-person collaborative learning with teachers and tutors

* In-person Liberal Arts, Arabic, Islamic Studies courses

* In-person extracurricular programs

Options (1) and (2) cater to students enrolled in a high school program (whether in NEIA’s in-person program or an online high school program). Option (3) caters to homeschooling students.
